Status Symbol

This is an old picture, but since I don't have a camera for a few more days, it will have to illustrate the point.

Yesterday Helaman was rolling something tiny between his fingers. As you can see in the picture, I had a pretty good guess as to what it was based on his penchant for picking and digging. "Helaman," says I, "Is that a boogie."

"No Mom. It's just a status symbol."

??? I guess that explains a lot.

Christmas

It's been a long time since Christmas, and I haven't been able to get it together enough to update my blog. I think I've finally worked out all the quirks and feel alive enough to put something together. So, here goes.

We went to Gridley for Christmas. It was a busy crazy time, but we had lots of fun with all of our family. It's always hard to spend time with everyone the way we want to when everyone is in the same town, but it was great to see everyone.

My camera broke on Christmas morning, so I borrowed a lot of these pictures, and I'm missing a lot of the fun because I couldn't snap a shot of it. My laptop got dropped by the one armed man, but we managed to save everything before it completely died and transfer it to the new laptop I was forced to buy. It turned out to be a pricey Christmas, but hey, I got a new computer!

For those of you we didn't get see, almost everyone, we are sorry to have missed you. It was a crazy trip to begin with, and then everyone got the flu. Hopefully we'll get to visit more next time. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
