How Will Santa Get Here?

My silly little three-year-old
Helaman is three now. Where has the time gone? How did I go a whole year without writing about him? So much has happened, he's changed and grown so much...
He's very smart. He loves to play with things and figure out how they work. He knows his alphabet and can identify all the upper and lower case letters. He can count to 30, too. It's hard to explain the way his mind works. It is blows me away. He understand so much for his age. He loves to play memory with me, but doesn't really love it when it's my turn. He thinks it shoudl always be his turn.
He's gotten so funny, too. He loves to tell knock-knock jokes and loves to clown and make people laugh. Sometimes he doesn't know how funny he is. When I was putting my high-heels on for church a couple of weeks ago, he watched me carefully and then said, "when I grow up and become a mommy, I will have sticks on my shoes to make me tall, too." A few nights earlier, he had told me that he wanted a car without a head. He had just seen the Bee Movie, and it took me while to figure out he meant a convertible.
He rides his bike now, and says he wants a 4-wheeler for Christmas. He is finally starting to be able to jump, but it's still not his strong point. But my once calm baby has definitley gotten more active and crazy.
Helaman's also had a new brother arrive in October. He loves his brother, but he's way too physical sometimes. He likes to get in his face a lot. But he just wants to love him and touch him and stuff. He always talks about when Isaiah get bigger and the things they are going to do together.
For Helaman's birthday this year we had a little party here with our immediate family in the area, and then on Saturday we launched rockets. He helped daddy make them on his birthday, and he was so excited to shoot them. Especially the one he helped paint. He was so cute doing the countdown and then laughing. His favorite present was the race track for his cars that daddy got him. He stayed up late playing it all night, and loves to play with it all the time. When we drive around, he sees the cars, just like his dad.
